The hawksbill sea turtle is a critically endangered species, which was given its name due to the narrow pointed shape of its beak.

Hawksbill sea turtles suffer from many threats, such as poaching for their scales and flesh, rat predation, ocean pollution and the rising of water temperatures due to climate change. More than ever, turtles are in danger of extinction.
